LOTUS LESSONS

Welcome to Lotus Lessons.  I created these programs to help make self-care easy.  The key to anything, including self-care, is consistency.  Even a 5 minute commitment each day will make a difference.  Another layer of self-care is building discipline.

This is where the idea of Sadhana comes in. Sadhana is a word that's used in many eastern cultures.  Yoga Sadhana is  a daily practice that helps us closer to our goal of uniting body and mind. In Sanskrit it means establishing an ongoing commitment to yourself. Nothing sticks without growing roots.  In our efforts to take care of ourselves, we often burn out from trying so many different things.  It leaves our energy scattered.  We are doing and doing, and yet we don't feel peaceful.  â€‹

Commitment, discernment and discipline are necessary parts to help us stay steady.  The most important commitment we need to make is to "Show up" for ourselves!  That's the key ingredient!  It's not about getting it right or perfect.  We all have good days and bad days, but the trick is to stay consistent and develop discipline. The shift happens when you stick with a consistent practice.  Keep it simple!  It's all here for you!
